So today started out one way and ended up another.
I intended to get some work done on the revisions I need to do today. Instead, I wound up going with Newell so that I could get gas then take the car to a meeting I had. Which turned out to be not a real meeting after all, but it did give me an opportunity to plug Rock of Ages to my insurance agent.
Then Newell and I went to lunch, and I decided to visit my sister for the afternoon. She wasn’t home when I got there, but I hung out a bit with my nephew. On the way back to the office building, the poor car began to overheat, and when I pulled into the garage, there was smoke billowing out.
Lots of water went into the reservoir, but it was boiling away almost as fast as we added it. Made an interesting little geyser…
But I don’t think it’s supposed to do that. (Bad pic, I know. It didn’t want to fountain pretty for the camera…)
We limped it home, but it will have to go to the shop tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t be an expensive fix…
Asked Kathleen about the eggs, and she said only one of them has survived. But I did get the opportunity to plug Rock of Ages…do we see a pattern forming here?
I haven’t loved a movie this much in a very long time. Yeah, it’s a bit hokey in spots, but it is also a damn fine use of music as a medium. Love the soundtrack. A good one to sing along to.
And Tom Cruise is HOT as Stacee Jaxx.
