Well, color me embarrassed…did I really forget to post yesterday? That was a total oversight. You see, I DID post my RieView of Rock of Ages on the RieWriter site…and I thought that I had posted that info here, but I guess it was only on Facebook that I linked it.
It’s been that kind of week…
We took the car to Firestone yesterday, and they wouldn’t touch it. Said it was an engine problem and they didn’t do engine work. They recommended a place that would look at it, but it was too late to go over there, so we limped the car home.
Today, we were getting ready to go over to their recommended place, and Newell started talking to Fernando across the street, who recommended he take it to Lopez. Well, you KNOW how much I like Lopez. We dropped it off there, and they had it fixed by the end of the day. Turns out it wasn’t the engine (Thank goodness!) but that reservoir that you see in Wednesday’s picture…that had been replaced TWICE by Christian Brothers had at least three cracks in it. They replaced it again, and the car seems to be fine now. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Lopez Auto Repair rules!
This, of course, left me stuck in the heat again, so I went to the movies. (My favorite way to cool off.) Rock of Ages wasn’t showing at a reasonable time any more… 😦 so I went to see Ted. It was cute. I enjoyed it a lot better than I expected to. Plenty of MacFarlane in-jokes. And Giovanni Ribisi simply stole the show dancing to “I Think We’re Alone Now” on the television.
So, no cleaning again today, but we have a friend coming to Texas from California tomorrow, so I need to straighten up before he hits Austin. Luckily, he’s going to Dallas to see his folks first. 😉
Till next time.
