I know I missed yesterday, and I apologize, but I was wiped out! Not much better today, but I can’t skip the entire weekend.
Standing behind a dealer’s table all day doesn’t sound like hard work, but it is. Plus panels and so on, and it is exhausting. But I love it. 🙂
Registered yesterday for the Austin International Poetry Festival (and submitted poems to be considered for their anthology.) That was cool.
Today I submitted that story to Horror Without Victims that may or may not fit, but at least it is a submission.
One a day is pretty good in the midst of a con…though I missed Thursday completely.
I told you about my Daisy doll, didn’t I? I ordered her to help promote Don’t Go Drinking with Hobbits. Well, she and I are finally in the same place at the same time. Isn’t she lovely?
See the beer mug?
And here is my jewelry all displayed:
Looks pretty good, but I can’t compete with the fancier jewelry. Still need to rethink some things.
Had a really cool panel on Language Creation this evening:
We didn’t out number the audience by much though.
Then I had a panel on Filk, and what it is, where I did a lot of mentioning of Don’t Go Drinking with Hobbits and On the Drift
, the Bedlam Bard’s Firefly CDÂ as two stellar examples of Filk. (For those of you not in the Science Fiction/Fantasy community, “filk” music is music that references genre literature/media in a new way. Another example is Weird Al Yankovic’s “Yoda”.)
I came back to the room after a quick bite to eat and started getting ready for bed, totally forgetting that I had another panel at 9 on “Pornography VS Erotica.” Glad I remembered in time, because it was a great panel discussing current trends, where they came from, all sorts of interesting ideas. 🙂 I even had a story idea in the middle of it…if I can only remember what it was…
Too tired for a poem tonight…sorry. But I should be able to get back to normal routine tomorrow as we are through at 4 and not heding back until Monday morning.
G’night, darlings…
