Hello, Yeah, It’s Been A While…
I have plenty of excuses, but no real reasons. Newell had a really bad week, which meant he was either home — and I can never get much done when he is — or needed me to go with him to make sure he didn’t relapse or something.
I’ve mainly just played with my tablet all week. Worlds of fun. Can do so many things with it. Love it!
Last night Google Play store was having a sale on music, so I got several albums — Bat Out Of Hell
; Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
; The Dark Side Of The Moon
(which my friend Glenda once told me is essential in any new medium…it was one of the first CDs I ever bought too…); and a huge Byrds
collection.
I also got Jordan Reyne’s Children of a Factory Nation
, and highly recommend it. I first heard of this album when I wrote a short story for a contest she was having before it came out. My writing partner, Jim, took Honorable Mention in the same contest, and let me hear the album with the stipulation that if I liked it, I should buy it. So I did.
Last night was the family birthday party for the August members, and I passed my Kindle to my mom. She was really excited to get it.
And now, I need to go put out the trash and see if I can see any shooting stars…
