Hell. For the first time all year I missed a day. And I should have remembered after we got home from the hospital to post it…

Let me start a bit earlier. Newell asked me to drive in with him yesterday because he had a sore throat and had slept badly, and wanted me to make sure he didn’t fall asleep. So I went to the office with him instead of driving around for the truck.

The office closed early for the holiday, and he asked me to check and see if our doctor could see him. No. They were full, so we went to the ER. He was shaking so bad from the combination of his fever and their air conditioning that he couldn’t even fill out the whole form. And his blood pressure was through the roof. They had him on IV fluids for about three hours, and took a lot of blood for tests. Then they sent us home with Amoxicillin and pain medication and he went to bed.

I’ve been sitting up playing EQ2 with a friend to take my mind off it, but I totally forgot to make a post in time. So…my bad. And I was so determined not to miss a day. *Sigh* The best laid plans…

Heading to bed now. Will update later in the day.

UPDATE ONE: SERIOUSLY wish I could sleep with the sun up. Was up before 7:30 again. At least Newell says he feels better this morning. And — drumroll please! — my truck passed inspection, so she is totally legal now! I am on the road again. SO excited to be able to get around. 🙂

Probably will be a laid-back weekend. After all, it is a holiday.

Take some time to remember why if you are in the States.
