My plants are being eaten right off my porch! It is so sad…I brought my poor basil in, because it was almost naked…and last night all the little Forget Me Not shoots that I was so excited about vanished. Newell says that the bugs people are calling Mayflies or Crane Flies — not sure which one they are — are notorious for eating plants. I hate to move all the plants back inside. It is good for them to be outside…and I nearly ruined the table they were sitting on before…

Trying to get up the energy to go to the Grocery Store. Had to walk over and get the car from Firestone while ago, and it was HOT! Must remember to wear hat to Faire Sunday…

Update One: A full trip to the grocery store always wipes me out completely. That’s why I prefer to get a little bit of stuff here, a little there. But I hadn’t been to the store in a while, so it took me probably an hour. And when I got home, of COURSE the first thing I see is the empty carton of powdered milk set out to remind me to get more…which I didn’t. Not being big milk drinkers around here, we only use it to cook with, and powdered has the advantage of not going sour. But somehow it never made it to the white board in the pantry where I had my list, so I forgot it. I had even taken a picture of the list with my phone to make sure I got everything on it. I did…and about $200 worth of other stuff! (Told you it had been a while…)

That was my big accomplishment of the day. The rest of it has been spent reading Amber and goofing off. Newell was home today, so we took it easy. 🙂
