If it wasn’t so far along in the year, I might seriously consider having to change the name of this blog. 😛

It isn’t that I have completely stopped cleaning, but I have definitely slowed way down. I had no reason to take today off, but I did. And I enjoyed it.

We went to the Oasis again for lunch today, and this time, I had my good camera. Here are some of the fabulous sculptures gracing the grounds:

I’ve given these all my own names. I don’t know what the real titles are, and I searched their website and couldn’t find the credits for the sculptor(s). All I know if that I love these bronze people…*

*Bear in mind, photographers…I use a Point and Shoot camera, and I am not very good at adjusting settings. I know the exposure is a bit off on some of these. (And I may go in and replace them later so that the orientation is right in the full size versions…)

  1. You know, I loved the Oasis back when I lived in Austin in the 90s. I was so disappointed that all the Californians found the place. I didn’t even recognize it.

I love the one with all the kids on the branch…. Lovely! As for the title,…. Getting my house in order actually can cover A BUNCH of things 😀

  3. No harm in breaking, just as long as you don’t backslide. Love the sculptures, by the way! Looks like a great time 🙂 Now, off to do my dishes, which have been stacking up for far too long… 🙂
