Sometimes, life steps on your plans. Then you have to be flexible. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon, and we have one car. So…I can’t start my three hours until late today. Does this mean I can’t get anything done? No. I just have to adapt. Sitting in a laundromat doing a load of clothes — so that is one thing I don’t have to worry about when I get home (and having a dryer available means Newell’s work clothes will be more to his liking anyway.)
One of my big problems I need to deal with are nasty stains on the toilets. I’m not even sure why they are so bad. But, I was researching the problem last night here (as well as other places) and they all mentioned using a pumice stick to get rid of the tough stuff. So I popped into Home Depot today and got one. Another errand related to the clean even if not directly DOING it. And a time saver next time I roll a bathroom.
So, if you decide to start a regimen of your own, and circumstances conspire to keep you away from the house, see if there are related errands you can do that need to be done anyway and will save you time on your cleaning agenda. 🙂
UPDATE ONE:Â Here’s another example of needing to be flexible. Just got home at 5:30 in January and rolled 1 hour 15 minutes outside in the front yard. While there might be that much work if I look hard, there isn’t going to be that much SUNLIGHT left today. So, I am calling my first “do-over”…because sometimes it’s all you can do… I’ll keep the duration, but I have to change the location for practicality’s sake.
Re-roll gives me 1 hour 15 minutes in the “Studio” (i.e. known as the Artsy Junk room) which hasn’t been touched so far. That’s much better.
UPDATE TWO: My dice hate me. 😦  For the third time in three days I get the pantry…but there is no real reason to skip it this time. Off I go for another hour and a half in there. But the way my back feels, we will cheat on that other 15 minutes…I did go to Home Depot after all.
UPDATE THREE: I’m a bad cleaner. 😦 Had to quit in the pantry 45 minutes early, because my back wasn’t having any more of it. Getting older sucks. And laundry always puts it screaming. Off to a hot bath and hopefully better luck tomorrow.
DAILY WRAP UP: Â 1 hour 15 in “Studio” + 45 minutes in Pantry = 2 hours. BAD ADRIENNE!
